Obituary for Robert Leon McCrary

Robert Leon  McCrary
Mr. Robert Leon McCrary, 60, of Acworth, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 19, 2017.

Born February 11, 1957 in Rome, Georgia, he was a son of Beaula Mae Fowler McCrary and the late John William McCrary. Mr. McCrary was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Acworth. He had a big heart, loved to make people laugh, and would light up a room when he came in. He loved cars, loved to fish, and he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 30 years, Jan Pendley McCrary; daughter, Jennifer Holder and her husband James of Cartersville; son, John McCrary and his wife Cassey of Acworth; a sister, Vivian Townsend of Powder Springs; brothers, Johnny McCrary and Steve McCrary, both of Cartersville; grandchildren, Braxten McCrary of Acworth, and Lily Holder of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at the graveside, in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth with The Reverend Kirk Burrell officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted but the family suggests that those who wish may make donations to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street NW, Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30303 in memory of Mr. McCrary.
