Obituary for Herman Jones

Herman  Jones
Mr. Herman Lee Jones, 90, of Cartersville, died on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Cartersville Heights Care and Rehab. Born in Fort Payne, Alabama on January 27, 1928, he was the son of the late John and Lillie Bryson Jones.

Mr. Jones was a member of Dewey Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and loved to work on his tractor and garden. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Jones; his brothers, J.C. Jones, Cecil Jones; and his son-in-law, Joe Nylund.

Survivors include his children, ReneƩ Jones (Mallon Harris) of Cartersville, Traci Nylund of Bluffton S.C., Kevin Jones (Nancy) of White, David Jones of Hiram; grandchildren, Nicole Nylund, Jessica Zanandrea, Joseph Nylund, Rebecca Jones, Jordan Jones, Cameron Jones, Karsyn Jones, Zackery Pruett, Andrew McClure, Brandon McClure; Great-grandchildren, Aiden Zanandrea, Kenleigh McClure; brothers, Roy Amos Jones (Betty), Andy Jones, John Jones, Jr. (Faye), Thomas Jones (Kathy); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with Reverend Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Cartersville Heights for their love, care and dedication to Herman during the last years of his life.
