Johnny Lee  Collum
Mr. Johnny Lee Collum, 64, of Cartersville, died on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Rome. He was born to the late Lester Collum and Edna Mae Bennett Collum in Bartow County on September 20, 1953.

Johnny was employed by Shaw Industries for 20 plus years before leaving to accept a job at Zepp Industries. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s ballgames, visiting with people, going to yard sales, fishing, hunting and camping.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Retha McBurnett Collum of Cartersville; his children, Tammy Gibson and husband, Greg of Euharlee and David Collum and wife, Heather of Cartersville; his silbings, Terry and Sue Collum of Rockmart; his grandchildren, Melani and Robert Clements, Chelsi, Kolby and Maci Gibson, Haley Collum; great-grandchildren, Aubree and Kaurie Clements.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Tracy Collum officiating. Interment will follow in Wofford Crossroads’ Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Clements, Neal Ricks, Teddy Martin, Nick Martin, Kolby Gibson and Zach Jamison. Casen Ricks, Doug Norton, Ricky Norton and Mitchell Collum will serve as honorary pallbearers.
