Mrs. Jean D. Thomas, 73, of Cartersville, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Star Manor Assisted Living. Born in Fulton County on September 14, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Jackson Denny, Sr. and Irma Lincoln Denny.

Mrs. Thomas was of the Methodist Faith and was retired from BellSouth. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Carrie Thomas of Cartersville; her son, Jack Harold Thomas, Jr. of Cartersville; her brothers, John Denny of Stockbridge and Jack Denny of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Avrie Thomas, Olivia Proctor and Garrett Cook; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Crestlawn Memorial Park with The Reverend Nathan Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
