Mr. Christopher Morris Gorrie, Sr., age 40, of Cartersville, died Thursday, July 20, 2017. He was born in Albany, Georgia on December 11, 1976 and was the son of Patricia Gorrie and the late Robert David Gorrie, Sr.

Christopher was employed by G&G Worx as a commercial electrician. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was an avid and loyal Georgia Bulldog fan. He is preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Taylor Marie Gorrie.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia Gorrie of Cartersville; his sons, Christopher Morris Gorrie, Jr. of Woodstock and Austin Alexander Gorrie of Cartersville; two grandchildren, Rilee Alyse Gorrie and Felicity Danielle Gorrie both of Albany, Georgia; his sister, Amanda Crawford of Danville, Virginia; his brother David Gorrie, Jr. and his wife Sherri of Acworth; along with a niece and several nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. prior to the service.
