Mrs. Evelyn Johnson Evans, 73, of Cartersville, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was a native of Bartow County, born September 7, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Truman Johnson and Myrtle Ray Johnson.

Mrs. Evans was a member of Atco Baptist Church. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny W. Evans of Cartersville; her children, Jeffrey Evans (Brenda) of Adairsville and Tony Evans of Cartersville; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Mike Boatfield and The Reverend Doug Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
