Obituary for Angie "Sissy" "Mimi" Woody (Mauldin)

Angie “Sissy” Woody (Mimi), 56, of White passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

Born on March 1, 1964 in Cartersville she was the daughter of Cecil Mauldin and Jeanette Akins Mauldin. She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Walt and Pauline Akins; and her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Woody.

Angie was a long-standing member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she married her husband Jeff on November 12, 1983. Angie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved making flower arrangements, going to the beach with her family, spending time with Jeff and playing with her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Woody; her children, Josh Woody, and Jeremy Woody (Kristen Woody); her grandchildren, Logan Woody, Lyle Woody, AnaClaire Woody, Karson Woody, and Paisley Woody; her mother, Jeanette Mauldin; her in-laws, Hugh and Bobbie Crawford. Her sister, Lynn Huskins (Larry Huskins); her dog, Sophie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the continuing COVID restrictions a visitation limited to 10 people at a time and social distancing will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Cochran officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Huskins, Rick Selvidge, Phillip Huskins, Ben Willis, Tony Adcock, and Charlie Chartier.
