Obituary for Barbara Jean Fisher

Barbara Jean Fisher, age 90, found relief and warmth on May 10, 2021, in Cartersville, Georgia.

From Mt. Vernon, Ohio, she was born May 6, 1931. Known for her petite size, pretty hands, and constant stories, she would tell about eating ice cream behind her grandma Skeen’s store, playing cowboy and Indians with her uncles and Grandma Lehman’s chickens. She was a long standing member of the Elks Auxiliary and the Church of Christ. Barbara very much loved dinners and trips with her Red Hat ladies, traveling, entertaining, cooking, and friends. She never forgot a birthday, her church, St. Jude’s, or the Fraternal Order of Police.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Glenn Thomas Lehman I, and the second love of her life, Glenn Thomas Lehman II, daughter-in-law Maria Lehman, her mother Ellen (Skeen-Lewis) Harmon, her father Harry Clifford Lewis, and her step-father William Harmon. Together they’re waiting on the rest of her loved ones: Debra and Larry Laramore, Shanna Latimer, Glenn and Amy Lehman, Christy and Shannon Holm, Diane Diroma, Keith Smith, the nieces and nephews of the Faulkner Family and seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be on May 22, 2021: visitation at 10:00 and service at 11:30. Reverend Steve Lyle will officiate in the sanctuary of Trinity at the Well, Cartersville, Georgia.
