Obituary for Bertha Inez Buckner
Bertha Inez Buckner, 83, of Cartersville died on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on January 13, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Arthur Blalock and the late Bertha Childers Blalock. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Lee Goodwin, Lucille Magnum, and Doris Heath; and her brothers, A.J. Blalock, Grady Blalock, and Gene Blalock.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Buckner; her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Susan Buckner; her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Charles King; her grandchildren, Jesse King, Hannah Buckner, Clay Buckner, and Travis Fuqua; her brother, Edward Blalock; and her sister, Frances Benson.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Ronnie Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse King, Clayton Buckner, Travis Fuqua, Randall Heath, Lamar Burt and Jeffrey Blalock.
