Obituary for Bertie Mae Harden

Bertie Mae Gayton Harden, 80, of Cartersville passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Assured Hospice.

Born on January 13, 1939 in Cartersville she was the daughter of the late Silas I. Gayton and the late Mary Willis Leviner. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Burlin Gayton, Benny Gayton, and Donny Gayton; her sister-in-law, Carol Gayton; and her granddaughter, Rhonda Hale.

Survivors include her husband, Theron O. Harden; her children, Randy Hale, Ricky (Andrea) Hale, Douglas Hale, Steven Hale, Elaine Abrams, Aubrey (April) Harden, Ricky Harden, and Hugh Dean Harden; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Betty (Buddy) Patterson, Billie (Nellie Mae) Gayton, Bobby (Linda) Gayton, Barry (Patti) Gayton, Bonnie Sue (Travis) Ingle, Gary (Missy) Gayton, Debbie Baynard, and Susan Gayton; her aunt, Sally Kennedy; her uncle, Harold Willis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Bobby Gayton and Mr. Greg Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Acworth. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Gayton, Michael Gayton, Tommy Gayton, Timmy Gayton, Richie Gayton, Ryan Gayton, Kelvin Ingle and John Mulkey.
