Obituary for Betty Ruth Washington
Betty Ruth Lipscomb Washington, 78, of Cartersville, Georgia, ascended to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
Betty was born on November 21, 1943, in Gadsden, Alabama. She was one of Tut and Hazel Taylors girls. She grew up in Gadsden as well.
Along with her parents Betty was preceded in death by her three sisters, Shirlyn Mitchell who was affectionately known as “Shun”, Carolyn, and Leatha Gail.
Betty was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her sister, Brenda Smith; her children, Michael (Teresa) Lipscomb, Angie (Charles) Shaw, Myra (Brad) Cline, and Kenny (Tammy) Lipscomb; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Cochran & their children, Macy Jean & Cade, Michelle (Kaemon) Cline, Robert Shaw & his children, Ryder, Rhys, Rhett, and Reagan, Candace (Marty) Teems & their children, Kinley Rae & Kelsey McKenna, Cody Lipscomb & his children, Avery & Payton, Caleb Lipscomb, Kenneth (Araby) Lipscomb & their fur babies; several nieces and nephews; and all of her fur babies.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Honoring Betty’s wishes she will then be cremated.
