Obituary for Beverly Easter Bingham

Beverly Easter Bingham, age 71, of Roswell, GA passed away on March 26, 2021 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA..

Beverly was born on August 26, 1949 in Lexington, NC to Carolyn Critcher Easter and Olen Cordell Easter. She attended Lexington Senior High School and Meredith College earning a bachelor degree in Mathematics. She was a career high school teacher for 30 years teaching math in Baltimore, MD, Cleveland, Ohio and the Cobb County school system in Georgia. In retirement, she enjoyed tutoring math for many students at her home. Beverly was devoted to her profession and the challenge of educating her students who loved her dearly.

Beverly was one of the kindest and most loving people God ever created. She was grateful for every day she lived and shared her joy for life with all who were blessed to know her. Her athletic skills and competitive spirit enabled her to win Lexington’s City Women’s Tennis Championship. She loved participating in and watching all sporting events, but her greatest loves were for God, family, friends and her precious grandchildren who called her “Bebe.”

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Carolyn & Olen Easter of Lexington, NC.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Bill Bingham; her daughter Gray Mattus and her husband Aaron of Roswell, GA and grandchildren William Mattus and Mason Mattus; her brother Olen Easter Jr. of Lexington, NC and his wife Ann Lanier Easter. Beverly was blessed to have a host of relatives and good friends who loved her and enjoyed her passion for life.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Beverly’s life on Wednesday, March 31 at 2:00 PM at the Allatoona Yacth Club, 285 Club Drive in Acworth, GA 30201. The Reverend Karen Easter Bayne, Beverly’s cousin, will officiate. After the service, a reception will be held at the Club where guests can visit with the family.

Also there will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 3 at 1:00 PM at the Lexington City Cemetery in Lexington, NC. The Reverend Karen Easter Bayne will officiate. After the service, a reception will be held at Sapona Ridge Country Club, 439 Beaver Creek Road in Lexington, NC.
