Obituary for Brenda Carol Vaughn
Brenda Carol Vaughn of Cartersville, Georgia, age 68, sadly passed away on March 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Brenda was born in Cartersville, GA on June 25, 1953 to the late Chester Augustus Ruff and Willie Jewel Ruff.
Brenda was a loving and caring person who carried many titles such as Wife, Mama, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Graunt and "Gran" to so many that have been touched by her life. Although she could be a spitfire at times, she was especially known for her laughter, her compassionate heart, and her willingness to lend an ear to anyone that needed to talk.
She was always very crafty and enjoyed cooking and baking with any child who came over for a visit. She enjoyed traveling and took every opportunity to go to the beach just to put toes in the sand and listen to the sound of the waves on the ocean.
Gran's favorite holidays were the ones where family and friends would gather together for a big meal. She always had a way of making everyone feel welcome in her home. Brenda was always her happiest while she was making others happy.
She was a devoted wife of almost fifty years to her husband Wayne and a loving mother to her two sons Stephen and Richard, and a doting “Gran” to her three grandsons Corey, Conor and Carter. She raised her family with both love and grit.
Although she will be sorely missed, we celebrate the life of this wonderful lady who shared God's love with every person she met. All who knew Brenda were blessed to have her in their lives.
Brenda Vaughn is survived by her adoring husband Wayne Vaughn, her sons Stephen Shane Vaughn (Jacki) and Richard Allen Vaughn (Kayla), her grandchildren; Corey Vaughn (Keri), Conor Vaughn (Alisha), and Carter Vaughn, her siblings; Mark Ruff (Sylvia), Linda Ruff Knight (Ted), Shirley Ruff Jacques (Gary), and Terry Ruff, as well as several special great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Brenda on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending potted plants or potted flowers, as these were Brenda’s favorites.
