Obituary for Carol Brown

Mrs. Carol Brown, 78, of Cartersville passed away on April 7, 2021 at Redmond Hospital in Rome.

Born on January 20, 1943, in Cartersville she was the daughter of the late Carter and Belle Wilson. She was also preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters; and her grandson, Steven Brown.

Carol was employed with the Bartow County Board of Education until her retirement. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, loved Jesus, and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Carol loved arts and crafts especially drawing, painting and creating. She also thoroughly enjoyed gardening. She loved her family, her dog, and loved everyone she met just like her own family. She was always able to find good in everyone. She was a kindhearted caregiver.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Brown; her children, Lisa Wehunt (Billy), Steve Brown (Kim), Traci Harris (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Josh Quick (Ashley), Erika Brown, Savannah Findley, Reed Findley, Lukas Baggett, Clare Baggett, Maddy Baggett, Dayln Harris, and Darien Harris; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Benson, Luke Benson, Cayden Brown, and Bailey Brown; and her siblings, Senate Wilson (Dottie), Frances Bingham (Jimmy), Betty Richards (Ron), and Billy Wilson (Claudine).

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church with Mr. Dale Henderson and Reverend Stephen Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
