Nannie taught me all I know about southern cooking! She showed me how to make biscuits and her FAMOUS chicken and dumplings. I was so nervous about messing something up, but she was so easy going, kind and patient. And always told me to throw a stick of butter in it! Cause that's what makes it taste so good. She loved her family with all her heart and treated me like one of her own from day one, when Nick introduced me when we were 13. Almost 20 years later, I've learned to many life lessons from her.
I love her with all my heart and she will be so missed.

Growing up in Smyrna, GA, the Johnsons lived across the street from my family. The memories of running in and out of their house, parents playing cards, camping and many hours of good ole clean fun and playing have been flooding my mind the last few days. Carol was my second mom just as my mom was Eddie, Sharon and Judy’s. Our lives are still entwined. I love this family. Sharon and Judy are my sisters and I share their loss. May God bless them. Carol is now with her Lord and Savior and back with her son, Eddie. Know Wayne and I are here for you anytime. Love you deeply.
