Obituary for Charles Ervin O'Tinger

Charles Ervin O’Tinger, 69, of Kingston passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Redmond Regional
Medical Center.

Born in Albertville, Alabama on January 30, 1952 he was the son of the late Ira O’Tinger and the late Pearlie Smith O’Tinger. He was also preceded in death by his son, Bryan O’Tinger; his great-granddaughters, Livianna Parker, and Malivay Parker; his brother, Jimmy O’Tinger; and his sisters, Marie Wooten, and Doris O’Tinger.

Charles was a man who dearly loved his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Parker (Nathan Varnes); his daughter-in-law, Haley Land (Johnny); his grandchildren, Shae Parker, Cody Parker (Tess), Alyssa O’Tinger, and Madison Land; his great-grandchildren, Kileyryn Parker, Brixson Parker; his brother, Doug O’Tinger; his sister, Jeanette Petrey; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Keith Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, in Kingston. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the funeral home, and again from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Les O’Tinger, Larry O’Tinger, Mike O’Tinger, Ronnie Cook, Brian Cowart, and Roger Frix.
