Obituary for Charlotte Buchanan
Charlotte Buchanan, 82 of Cartersville died on Friday, November 29, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Cartersville on December 25, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Mike W. Jones and the late Myrtle Martin Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Buchanan; her brother, Roy Jones; her sisters Marzelle McCollum and Vicky Mulkey.
Charlotte was a member of Atco Baptist Church. She was an inspiration to her family and all those around her, through her faithfulness. Survivors include her son, Mark Buchanan; her sister, Maxie Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd, at Atco Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Harris and Reverend Mike Boatfield officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at Parnick Jennings Funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Mulkey, Jerry Mulkey, Kenny Lowery, Wesley Knight, Michael Fowler and Byrd McCollum.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Atco Baptist Church, 20 Parmenter Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120 in memory of Charlotte.
