Obituary for Charlotte L Ray
Charlotte L. Ray, 70, of Cartersville passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on June 28, 1950 she was the daughter of the late Guy Leachman and the late Fannie Smith Leachman. She was also preceded in death by her son, Freddy Lewis; and her brother Alan Leachman.
Charlotte worked at Shaw Industries until her retirement. She was a chocoholic who loved music, frogs, lipstick, and pocketbooks. She also loved to color. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Maranda Ray (Todd White); her grandson, Joseph Ledbetter; her sisters, Phylllis Kown (Bruce), Linda Massey, and Nancy Nunley (Jack); several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her special friend, Ed Thomas.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2020 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Don Startup officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gray Thomas, Alan Massey, Jade Massey, Joseph Ledbetter, Johnny Leachman, and Christopher McDonald.
