Obituary for Clara Mae Townsend (Nixon)
Ms. Clara Mae Townsend, 91, of Cartersville passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021, with her family at her side.
Born in Lagrange, Georgia on May 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Nixon and the late Flora Kelly Nixon. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Manuel Fincher and James Townsend, her brothers Eddie Nixon, Billy Jo Nixon, Howard Nixon and Clifford Nixon. Her daughter, Sara Gresham, joined her in heaven two days after her passing on February 12, 2021.
Survivors include her beloved daughters Judy Brown and Betty Fincher.
Clara is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren. Clara’s joy in life was to spend time with her family and she will be dearly missed.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Tim Glass, Matthew Bartz, and members of Freedom Worship Center.
