Obituary for David Ray Clark

David Ray Clark, 69, of Cartersville entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on June 18, 1950 in Mobile, Alabama he was the son of the late Tice Clark and the late Nina McCallister Clark. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Clark.

David served his country in the United States Army and later went on to serve as Vice President of Logistics at Kennesaw Transportation. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Cartersville where he taught Sunday School and Monday night Bible study. David loved his family, his church family, and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Paula Waltman Clark; his daughters and son in law, Rachael Clark and Rebecca and Jonathan Akins; his brother, Stephen Clark; and several nephews.

Due to continuing Covid restrictions a visitation limited to 25 people at a time and social distancing will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Doug Harris officiating. A private burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorial contributions in David’s honor to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 477 Old Cass-White Rd. Cartersville, GA 30121.
