Obituary for Diane Shook (Turner)
Diane Shook, 76, of Cassville passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at her residence.
Born on April 8, 1944 in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late William Turner and the late Florene Davis Martin.
Diane was a bus driver with Bartow County, for 31 years, until her retirement. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 59 years, Tommy Shook; her daughters, Donna Neal (Dan), of Taylorsville, and Susan Sharpton (Jeff), of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Lauren Neal (Maurice) and, Zachary Neal, of Taylorsville, Jennifer Sharpton, and Julie Sharpton, of Cartersville; her brothers, Wayne Turner (Shelia), of Dallas, GA, and Jackie Yother, of Adairsville; and her sisters, Debbie Garner (Tim), of Mableton, GA and Brenda Yother Hornbuckle, of Cartersville.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of Diane’s personal care givers.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Cassville Cemetery with Reverend David Baker officiating. There will be no formal visitation but everyone is invited to attend the service and asked to observe COVID-19 protocol by social distancing and wearing a mask.
