Obituary for Elizabeth Cain

Elizabeth Grabensteder Cain 49, born October 24, 1971 went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2020. She was raised in Cartersville and graduated from Cartersville High School. She graduated from Lee University in 1995 with a degree in Music Education. She also did additional graduate work at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. She was a stay-at-home wife most of her married life, volunteering in her children’s schools and her church. She loved her children and dedicated her life to them. She also worked two years as a teacher’s aid in the Bartow County School System.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Hardin Grabensteder; and her grandparents. She is survived by her children, Madelin Cain, Sophie Cain and Samuel Cain; her father, David Grabensteder and wife Brenda; her brother, Dan Grabensteder and wife Leslie; and nieces Brooklyn and Baylee Grabensteder of Moreland, GA; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and step brothers.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on January 2, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30 am followed by a funeral service in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home at 12:00. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Cartersville, GA at 241 Douthit Ferry Road in Cartersville, 30120

Pallbearers for the service are Daniel Thomas, Chris Schartle, Shane Schartle and Dan Grabensteder. Dr. Kyle Walker, pastor of Cartersville First Baptist Church will officiate the service.
