Obituary for Emily Mildred Krmencik (Koudelka)
Emily Mildred Krmencik, 96, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 12, 2023.
She was born on August 25, 1927, in New York City, New York to the late Otto Koudelka and the late Anna Lad Koudelka. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jaroslav Krmencik, who predeceased her in 1987; and her brother, Otto Koudelka Jr.
Survivors include her two daughters, Marie Whitton (Gregory) and Emily Timreck; grandchildren, Gregory Whitton (Metta) of Cartersville GA, Ann-Marie Egan (Michael) of Salt Lake City Utah, Kimberly Bowen (Sheppard) of Cartersville GA, Erick Timreck (Kaitlyn) of Andover CT, and Valerie Stern (Gregory) of Philadelphia PA; great grandchildren, Connor and Landon Whitton, Madelynn and Caden Egan, Emily, Lillian and Liam Bowen, and Lillian Timreck.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, Emily loved her family. She retired as a Computer Programmer from IBM, and enjoyed all kinds of crafts which include crocheting. Emily loved reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling. She was a member of the Senior Citizen Center and Red Hat Purple Dress Society.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
