Obituary for Glenda Wehunt (McClure)
Glenda Wehunt, 94, of Adairsville Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2022.
She was born in Gilmer County and is the daughter of Stacey I. McClure. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Wehunt Jr; sons, Charles G. Wehunt III and Steven Douglas Wehunt; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley R. Wehunt.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy L. (Denise) Townsend; Elizabeth Hobgood, Freddy (Beverly) Wehunt, and Lynn (Wanda) Crowder; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Glenda started and conducted for over 20 years a Bereavement Support Group at Faith United Methodist Church and volunteered to minister to patients during their time in hospice care. She loved to spend her time gardening, sewing, quilting, and cooking.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie Marus and Reverend Scott Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Wednesday prior to the service.
