Obituary for Herbert Cox
Herbert W. Cox, 88, of Cartersville passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on September 27, 1932 he was the son of the late Lon and Ethel Cox. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Cox.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Cannon Cox; his son Tony Cox (Betty); his grandsons, Robert Cox, and Joel Cox (Katie); his great grandchildren, Pamela Cox, Andrew Cox, Conner Cox, Katie Kaylor, and Emily Dothard (Brody); his great-great grandson, Briar; his sister, Verna Ruth Robertson; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 20211 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Acworth with Reverend Thomas Wheeler and Reverend Michael McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joel Cox, Andrew Cox, Conner Cox, Mason Lee, Brody Dothard, and Brad Dilbeck.
