Obituary for James Hogan
James Hogan, age 71, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born April 1, 1949, in Athens, Tennessee he was a son of the late J.W. and Lura Hogan. James was also preceded in death by his wife Judy Dianne Hogan.
Survivors include his daughter Angela Hogan Lang and Jeff Miller of Jasper, Georgia; his sons Michael Scott (Lisa) Gayton of Acworth, Georgia and Christopher Brian Gayton of Cartersville, Georgia; his granddaughter Samantha (Chris) Howard of Acworth, Georgia and their children Azlee and Jude Howard; his granddaughter Andrea Lang of Bethlem, Georgia and her children Brooklyn Wade, Kinsley Shepard and Kialan Duncan; grandson Michael Gayton Jr. and Kat of Acworth, Georgia; granddaughter Danielle Beaven of Jasper, Georgia and her daughter Ryleigh Tatum; granddaughter Kaylea (Alfredo) Sosa of Buchanan, Georgia and their children Izabella, Dalary, Jaylea and Giovanni Sosa; and grandson Preston “PJ” Gayton of Cartersville, Georgia; his sisters Margaret Daily, Helen Green, Vickie Dennard-Dukes and Tom Dukes and Lynn (Mike) Cox; brother Marvin (Brenda) Hogan; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
James was a great man everyone who knew him said he was the best man you could ever know. He loved being with his family, fishing, camping and being outdoors.
