Jamie Leigh Barnett Waits, 39, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in Woodstock.

Born on April 15, 1980 in Marietta, she was the daughter of Earl Barnett and Lenora Spears Barnett.

Jamie was the greatest mother in the whole world and loved her children more than anything. She was the best friend anyone could ask for. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball and later she loved visiting the beach. Some of the things she will be remembered for was her love for and collecting of frogs and her strength.

Survivors include her parents; her husband, Corey Waits; her children, Grayson Waits, Summer Waits, Ashton Phillips, and Kierstin Phillips; and her sisters, Kim Barnett, Tabitha Barnett (Chris Norris), and Brandi Waits (Mark).

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Acworth. A private visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Jamie was beautiful inside and out. A loving Mother with a strong character. A fighter that was evident in the fight she gave for the last 5 years. She was funny , fun loving always with a smile on her face and beautiful laugh that was infectious! She will be truly missed by many and was loved deeply. I will miss you beautiful I know you are dancing and free from all the pain and suffering .I will see you on the other side soon my beautiful niece . Love you Jamie

Jamie was one of my very best friends in middle school she always had a smile and was the sweetest soul she got me started on my love for frogs first it was keroppi and then just all frogs she also taught me how to make this funny noise with my mouth lol I still do to this day I remember going home from school with her the weekend of the blizzard in 93 and getting snowed in for days with her and her family one of the best times I’d had I will always cherish those memories and the many more we made as friends she will be greatly missed may you Rest In Peace sweet girl

Jamie was one of the best sisters in the world! She was always there for any of our family. She love being with friends and family. She was so outgoing and loved playing ball, watching Georgia Bulldogs football and being at all of her kids ball games! She is missed sooo much! I love you Jamie!!!!❤️
