Obituary for Jenell Hackett
Jenell Hackett, 67, of Rydal Georgia, passed away on July 18, 2022 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on January 28, 1955, she is the daughter of the late Claude C. Overby and the late Lila Noland Overby. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Virgil Hackett; daughter, Pamela Sue Hackett; granddaughter, Patricia Hackett; grandson, Troy Dean Hackett; sister, Geraldine Hammonds; and a brother, Claude Overby.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Hackett (Christie) and James Hackett (Tina Miller); grandchildren, Shawn, Deserie, Zachary, Megan, James, Tyler, Deanna, Carson, and Carter Jenkins; and great-grandchildren, Gatlin, Chloe, Allie, Macon, Virgil, and James.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Willard officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Friday prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Hackett, James Hackett, James Hackett, Shawn Strange, Ralph Cox Jr., and Tyler Davidson. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Zachary Davidson and Carson Day.
