Obituary for Jonna Lee Ryan (Patterson)

Jonna Lee Ryan, 55, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 after a prolonged illness.

Born on August 9, 1966 in Fort Myers, Florida; she was the daughter of Alice VanDerwerken Baker and the late Alan Patterson. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her stepfather Ron Baker.

Jonna was known for her ever-present smile and beautiful countenance. She was multi-talented and thrived serving God, her family and many others. She faithfully served the Lord in her church, with international missions and in her life. She had pride in her calling as a Domestic Engineer. Her passions included sewing, design and architecture. There was no project she couldn’t handle or challenge she couldn’t face. She was an amazing woman and her boldness in Spirit was only matched by the beauty and grace in her heart.

Survivors include her soul-mate and husband of 16 years, Dr. Tim Ryan of Cartersville; her sister, Camme Mongoven (Mike) of Fort Myers; her brother, Scott Patterson of Cartersville; her brother-in-law, Tom Ryan (Jeannette) of Cartersville; her sister-in-law, Amy Thompson (David); of Washington, DC.; and multiple nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Parnick Jennings Funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in the Parnick Jennings chapel with Reverend Jody Stancil officiating. Burial will follow.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Ryan, Mike Mongoven, Jacob Mongoven, Josh Mongoven, Timothy Ryan, and Samuel Ryan.
