Junior Douglas (J.D.) Earwood went to be with his Lord Sunday May 2, 2021. He was born June 3, 1944 to the late Eugene and Mattie Earwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Liz Dill and his brother Bobby Earwood.
Junior was picky about how his yard was mowed. He loved his family, especially his children, grand and great grandchildren. He was an avid fan of NASCAR as well as dirt track racing and was adamant about keeping cars clean, especially his.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ada Virginia (Jennie) Earwood; eight daughters, Audrey Brueck, Stacy (Jimmy) Moncrief, Jennifer (Richard) McCord, Susie Reynolds, Julie Cagle, Brenda (Kenny) Abernathy, Skeeter (Allan) Huskins, and Marsha Dawn Earwood; his son Lamar (Tommie) Earwood; his sister Frances Brock; his son-in-law Mike Dill; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; several sisters and brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday May 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Allan Huskins officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday May 4, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter and Luke Huskins, Trent Abernathy, Bradly Green, Charlie Waters, Blake Earwood, Gage Earwood, and Sheridan Dill. Honorary pallbearers will be all remaining great-grand kids.
