Obituary for Lamar Gravitt

Mr. Lamar Gravitt, 69, of Euharlee died on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Cartersville on March 16, 1949 he was the son of the late Calvin Gravitt, Jr. and the late Annal Lois Pace Gravitt. Lamar served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed wood working and shooting pool. He especially loved NASCAR racing.

Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Linda Gravitt of Euharlee; his daughters, Cindy Williams (Drew) of Cartersville, Kristy Gravitt St. Clair (Billy) of Euharlee, and Laura Morris (Matt) of Kingston; his son, Brady Gravitt (Brandy) of Euharlee; his brother, David Gravitt of Lafayette, Indiana; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.

The family will accept flowers or those desiring may make memorial contributions in Mr. Gravitt’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
