Obituary for Leda Wakeland
Lucky Leda Frances Wakeland (Leda), age 76, of Cartersville, Georgia, sadly passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Leda was born on June 10, 1946, in Muscateen, Iowa to her late parents, Karrol Stropes & Martha Spence. She is also preceded by her loving daughter, Kimber Sue Wakeland-Wood.
Leda is survived by her adoring husband of 59 years, Michael Lawrence Wakeland; her children Tammy Lynn Wakeland, Timothy Michael Lee Wakeland, and Matia Celine Probus; her grandchildren, Chaz Keenan Wakeland, and Slade Michael Wood; her sisters Teresa Admire (Norm) and Twyla Patterson; a special niece Brenda Garner (Jack); as well as several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Leda was an incredible cook and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and sister. She loved her family fiercely and always put them first. She will be sorely missed.
The Wakeland family will be holding a private service for Leda on a later date.
