Lori was such a beautiful soul, always smiling, always trying to look at the bright side of things, and see the cop as half full. One of my fondest memories of Lori is when, 5 years ago, I find myself in the uncomfortable situation of not having any place to stay. I had just started a new job, but having at that point not gotten paid, I wasn't even able to temporarily stay at an efficiency or extended stay motel. I considered my options, and was not feeling very hopeful when I remembered that Shawn and Lori had recently purchased the house in Allatoona - and they had a spare bedroom nobody was occupying... While I felt certain that Shawn, one of my closest friends, would be willing to help me out, I was fully aware of what he would say if I asked: "Well yeah, I'm cool with that, bro, as long as it's ok with Lori." It's what she said to me, when I was desperate, and needed a friend, and feeling ashamed to ask and embarrassed that I was even in that situation, that to this day warms my heart. She said to me, "Well of course you can, you don't think I'm going to let you sleep in your car, do you? Come on and hurry up, or you'll be late for dinner." Never once did she hesitate, even for a moment, and that's just the type of person Lori was... She would do anything she could to take care of her friends and family, and in that moment, because Lori was so nice to me when I asked, I went from feeling desperate, lonely, and uncertain to feeling safe, happy, and blessed. I truly am blessed to have had the honor to call such a wonderful soul as Lori my friend. Lori, you are deeply missed, by many. To keep such an amazingly positive attitude after the loss of a son, the loss of a granddaughter, and feeling as though you had also lost your daughter, is such an inspiration to anyone who's lost a loved one. To the family of Lori: Your daughter/sister/mother/grandmother/Aunt was such a kind, generous, cheerful soul... Please remember her as she would prefer you remember her. Celebrate her wonderful life, and the good, happy times you had together. Lori treated me like family, if there's anything me and mine can do, please don't hesitate to ask.

Prayers and Love,
Richard D Watts
