Obituary for Margaret W. Mason
Mrs. Margaret Mason, 96, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on July 26, 2023 at The Fountains in Cartersville.
She was born on March 4, 1927, to the late William and Mary Weil. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wallace J. Mason Sr; son, Wallace J. Mason Jr; brother, William Weil; sister-in-law, Marilyn Weil; and cousins, Roberta and Donald Hambly.
Margaret was born in Washington Township, New Jersey. She graduated from Westwood High School in Westwood, New Jersey in 1944. She worked as a secretary with Standard-Vacuum Oil Co. in New York City, New York where she retired in the year of 1951. She then moved on December 10, 1980 from Washington Township to Charlotte, North Carolina where she remained until 2019. She attended St. John Neumann’s Church where she was a member of the “Fifty Plus” Club. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Priscilla Clark (Jeffrey) of West Berlin, Vermont; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Mason of Adairsville, Georgia; grandchildren, Kristi L. Clark Roche (Mark), Aaron Mason (Heather), Wallace J. Mason III (Misty), Andrew D. Mason (Kaitlyn), and Veronica Mason; great-grandchildren, Mabel Roche, Jeffrey Roche, Shawn Mason, Isaac Mason, Gavin Mason, Gavin Ray Mason, Kylie Mason, Cecily Mason, and Jemma Mason.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
