Obituary for Marshall Neal Amos

Mr. Marshall Amos, 78 of Cartersville passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Winthrop Nursing and Rehab in Rome.

Born on January 25, 1944, in Cartersville he was the son of the late Charles Amos and the late Lula Chambers Amos. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Amos; his son, Tommy Neal Amos; and 18 brothers and sisters.

Marshall was an early riser and a hard worker who liked to see things completed. He was employed as a supervisor at Deep South until his retirement. Marshall was a born-again Christian, he loved Jesus with his whole heart; he led by example and never spoke badly about anyone. He was a great husband and a perfect example of a Dad who cared deeply for his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Stone; his son, Tony Amos; his grandchildren, Christie Juarez, Tyler Juarez, Brittnie Miller, Leslie Stone, Elizabeth Brown, Hayley Belle Mullins; Gabrielle Amos, Brody Adams, Acree Adams, Lonni Blair; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Danny May officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
