Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Orton
Miss Mary Elizabeth Orton, 84, of Cartersville, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Born on March 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late L.B. Orton and Omie Farmer Orton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Lee Orton; her sisters, Oma White and Rubie White.
Mary was a really hard worker. She had been employed in the textile industry, retired from EZ Mills as a line worker.
Survivors include her brother James Orton, and several cousins and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Due to Covid-19, social distancing guidelines will be followed.
