Michael David Addington, age 78, passed away at home on August 17, 2022, comforted by his loving family.
Michael was born on January 26, 1944, in Clayton, Georgia to the late J.O. Addington and the late Launa Worley Addington. He is also preceded in death by his niece, Kristen Alexander, and his nephew, Edward Alexander.
Michael Addington is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Addington; his sister, Launa (Ron) Sims from Calhoun; several nieces and nephews; and several special great-nieces and nephews.
Michael is a United States Army veteran that served in Vietnam for three years; he loved all things Nascar. Michael loved spending time with those he loved and cherished.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Doctor Scott Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Alexander, Cameron Alexander, Trent Welch, Kevin Fountain, David Smith, and Tracy Prouty.
