Obituary for Michael Charles Haas

Michael Charles Haas, 68, of Cartersville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on March 3,1952 in Davenport, IA, he was the son of the late Walter Haas and Marjorie Haas.

Michael had a big personality, was funny, witty and had a dry sense of humor. You always knew when he was in the room. He was always there for his wife, Sandy, and he had a great love for all his grandkids. He was a fan of Science Fiction and his favorite series was FireFly and he loved anything Marvel or Star Trek. He was also an incredible cook, he loved to read and always worked hard. He worked at Ace Hardware after he retired. Working at Ace gave him a sense of purpose. He enjoyed getting to work early and making coffee for his coworkers and getting everything ready for the store to open. Cars were everything to him, he was a fanatic about them. He knew what kind of car it was just by glancing at it and he enjoyed going to car shows.

Michael is survived by his wife Sandy Haas; children Brandon Haas, Phoenix Tyler and Lindsey Haas; stepchildren; Justin Stovall and Glenn Stovall; sister Cheryl Holden; nephew Brock and many grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at The Planters Subdivision Club House, 12 Planters Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120.
