Obituary for Mildred Louise Fendley

Mildred Louise Fendley, 92, of Aragon passed away on May 18, 2021 at her residence.

Born on June 21, 1928 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. Fendley and the late Ervy Stockton Fendley. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Roach; and several brothers and sisters.

Mildred was employed as a parts clerk for Sears until her retirement. She never quit on her family who she loved dearly. Mildred was a member of Raccoon Creek Baptist Church; she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, visited with shut ins; and most importantly she trusted and followed Jesus her entire life.

Survivors include her children, Jeanette Dyles, William Donald Roach, Jr. (Lori), Stephen Clay Roach (Becky), Stanley Bowen Roach (Jerry), Samuel Paul Roach (Sharon), and Frances Louise Hoehn (Mike); 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Raccoon Creek Baptist Church, 1808 GA-113 Cartersville, GA 30120, with Reverend James Black and Reverend Patrick Miller officiating. Ms. Fendley will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
