Obituary for Mitchell Meade
Mitchell Meade, 85 of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on February 22, 2021 at Floyd Medical Center.
Born on January 15, 1936 in Paintsville, Kentucky, he is the son of the late Robert Meade and Daisy Arms. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Rita Meade, and a brother, Ken Centers.
He is survived by his son, Perry Meade; daughter Sandra Meade; grandchildren, Kaiti Meade and Andy Meade; a brother, Charles Centers; and a special friend, his Chihuahua Sunshine.
Mitchell served in the Army for 21 years. He had two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. He did Honor Guard for years and he also loved fishing and loved watching western movies.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Reverend Keith Willard officiating. Interment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:00 am.
