Obituary for Paul Timothy Thompson
Paul Timothy Thompson “Tim” of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on January 28, 2023 at his residence.
Tim was born on August 3, 1954 in Chattanooga, Tennessee at Erlanger Hospital. He is the son of the late George Henry Thompson and Hazel Price Thompson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors include his children, Hattie Thompson, Elliott Anderson and family, Kelly Thompson Keown and family, and Kari Hodge and family; brother, Hank Thompson and family; and sister, Lynn Branton and family.
Tim was a very smart man with several different college degrees. He worked as a COO of Cartersville Medical Center for 35 years, as well building the foundations for several hospitals and serving his community. He was known to his family as a keeper of all things and had a very good sense of humor. Above all, he was a loving father and brother with the biggest heart and took care of anyone in need.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
