Richard (Rick) Graham Derringer born March 29, 1948 and passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2020.
A Loving Father, Grandfather, Son & Brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Derringer Sr and Mary Derringer of St Louis Missouri.
Rick loved and enjoyed many things including, golf, riding bicycles, and sitting on the porch sippin’ on his “sweet tea” listening to talk radio. He also loved to watch baseball and football and has a rather large collection of sport cards. In his younger years, you would often find Rick out on Lake of the Ozarks.
He defended his beloved country by serving in Vietnam as a Radio Operator Specialist receiving special honors, including Sharpshooter, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze stars, The Army Commendation Medal, Republic of Vietnam Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by his daughter Amber (Alex), sons Zack (Monica) and Brian (Jessica), brothers Jeff (Mary), Steve (Mary), and sister Lynn as well as stepmother Kathy Derringer. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Vivian, Jorah, Miyah, Briah, Josiah, Juan, Easton, Mario, Alex and Owen Graham. As well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He will be dearly missed but we will hold on to each and every memory we were blessed to share.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
Private Interment at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 11:00am.
