Obituary for Rita Meade (Gottlob)
Rita Gottlob Meade, 83 of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on February 6, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on April 24, 1937 in Donau, Germany, she is the daughter of the late Fritz Gottlob and Frieda Wittlinger Bauhammer.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Mitchell Meade; grandchildren, Kaiti Meade and Andy Meade; her son, Perry Meade; her daughter, Sandra Meade; and a special friend, her Chihuahua Sunshine.
Rita and her husband Mitchell would have celebrated 65 years of marriage together on March 31, 2021. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her bible, going to church, listening to and singing gospel music, quilting, knitting, and crocheting. She also loved gardening, and her favorite flowers were red roses.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Reverend James Black officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will be on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Georgia National Cemetery.
