Robert Earl LeCroy, age 81, went to his heavenly home on March 17, 2022.
Robert was born in Cedar Bluff, Alabama to the late Willie Clyde LeCroy of Marietta and the late Dessie Iowa LeCroy. He is also preceded in death by his two sisters Faye Honea of Calhoun, Georgia and Betty Hanks of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; and nephew Franklin Hanks of Acworth.
Survivors include his wife Patricia LeCroy of Cartersville; children Janice (David) Day of Temple, Ga., Deborah (Kerry) Fisher of Talking Rock, Ga.; Ladora (Tony) Santoro of Fountain, FL.; son Robert (Evelyn) LeCroy, JR. of Dalton, Ga.; brother Earnest LeCroy; and grandchildren Timothy, Trinity, and Austin LeCroy of Dalton, Ga.; Trey and Dalton LeCroy of Cartersville, Ga.; Michael (Jessica) Day and Andrea Day of Temple, Ga.; Lauren (Joe) McCann and Jennifer (Tim) Stowe of Dallas, Ga.; Carol (Carlos) Ojeda of Acworth, Ga.; Jessica Cole of Fountain, FL.; Samantha (Roger) Steward of Ware, Ma.; 19 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was retired from the Cobb County School System and the Marietta City School System with 39 years of service. He was a Baptist Minister and an Ordained Deacon at the Clear Creek Baptist Church in Adairsville, Georgia. Robert loved his Men’s Sunday School class. As he taught for several years, he would lead an occasional song which he always sang which was his favorite song, “Victory in Jesus”. Robert loves his wife and children with his whole heart.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Joe Dan Wilkins, Reverend Ricky Sanford, and Reverend Reggie Nation officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim LeCroy, Trey LeCroy, Austin LeCroy, Wes LeCroy, Kerry Fisher, and David Day. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Santoro, Antonio Scranton, Hector Ojeda, Carmen Ojeda, and John Edwards.
