Obituary for Roy Freeman Wiley
Roy Freeman Wiley, 79, of Cartersville, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020. Born June 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Dock Freeman Wiley and Alice Marie Cochran.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, Charles Stiles; his sisters, Margie Hart, Mildred Bohannon, Dorothy Earwood, Billie Waldron, Ellen Smith and Mary Duke.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Ruth Wiley; his sons, Roy Wiley II (Lesa), Greg Wiley, daughter in law Lynn Stiles; grandkids, Andrew Wiley, Caleb Wiley, Christopher Wiley, Gavin Wiley, Charles Stiles, Melissa Barrickman, Matthew Hedgepath, Savannah Lynch; his sister, Frances Hall; several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Roy was an avid western movie watcher. He loved church and his grandkids. He loved being with his wife and was always cutting up with his family.
A visitation will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Saturday November 28, 2020 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery.
