Obituary for Teresa Ann Nichelson

Teresa Ann Nichelson, 57, passed away on July 5, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on April 14, 1964, she is the daughter of the late Lowell Frazier Blalock and Camilla Reeves Blalock.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Tommy Nichelson; her daughters, April Lynnette Nichelson and Tracey Ann Buffington; grandchildren, Graceson Lee Buffington, Aaron Ray Lingerfelt, Alyssa Grace Nichelson, and Adam Lynn Lingerfelt; brother, Tony Blalock (Theresa); sister Tammy Kelly (Jim); her mother, Camilla Blalock; numerous nieces and nephews; and her two furbabies, Little Man and Yoda.

Teresa was a devoted CNA and med tech for 13 years. She loved her job at Highlands Senior Assisted Living Facility. There, she trained all the med techs and was loved greatly by all coworkers and residences. They did not want anyone else to care for them if Teresa was not there. She was a 20-year cancer survivor, graduated from Adairsville High School in 1982, and loved country music. She liked to travel, especially to the ocean, and loved to camp, be on a boat, and swim.

Teresa was an amazing mother, grandmother, and wife. They don’t come no better than her. She loved her dogs, which she referred to as her boys. She loved her land and her home and could often be found looking for her red cardinal birds and hummingbirds. She had a very big heart and was devasted when her residences passed away. She cared deeply for each and every one of them. She was very outspoken, had no filter, and would let you know if something was wrong. She had a very strong moral compass.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Lingerfelt, Jessie Hughes, Tyler Knight, Aaron Lingerfelt, Bo Greenway, and James Adcock.
