Obituary for Terry Dean Hale

Terry Hale, 68, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 5, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 19, 1954. He is the son of the late Hubert Hale and Minnie Mae Hale. He is also preceded in death by his brother Hubert (Pee Wee) Hale.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Hale; children Stacy Hale and Brandy Hannah (Paul); grandchildren Makayla Smith, D.J. Smith, and Josiah Hannah; siblings Janice (Harold) Long, Donny Hale, Brenda (Bobby) Shepherd, and Tina Hale.

Terry was the pastor of Lighthouse of God from 1993 – 2008. He was a self-employed general contractor for over 40 years.

Terry took pride in all that he did including the church, his family, his home, and his job. He wanted everything to be perfect in his eyes. He loved preaching and sharing the word of God with anyone that would listen. He stopped working out of town so that he could spend more time with his grandkids. He loved them more than anything. He always looked forward to summertime to plant his garden and use his baby, the tractor that his neighbor gave him. It was his quiet time to spend with God. He'd walk the yard checking on his fruit trees and his vines. He was always on the move or on his favorite toy, his bobcat. Recently, he gained a little comfort in their little dog Sassy. He finally got a dog to love him instead of mom.

A funeral service is scheduled on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Kitchens, Reverend Jody Cagle, and Darrell Hale officiating the service. The burial will follow at White United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pall bearers are BJ Shepherd, Jerry Ray, Ricky Hale, Greg Hale, Nathan Hale, and Matthew Padgett. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be D.J. Smith and Josiah Hannah.
