Obituary for Harold Burdette

William Harold Burdette, 84, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on February 8, 2023 at The Fountains in Cartersville.

Born on August 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Eula Moore Burdette. In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Sally Anne Burdette.

Survivors include his daughters, Karla Burdette Johnson (Jay) and Mandi Burdette Cameron (Colin); grandchildren, Riley Johnson, Drew Cameron, Meredith Cameron, and Courtney Cameron; and a sister-in-law, Cindy Dalton.

He was a proud graduate of Seneca High School and graduated from Clemson University in 1964. As a teenager, Harold worked at Sammeth Drug Store in Seneca, South Carolina. His adult career was in the textile industry and included companies such as Jantzen, Stratton, and Shaw Industries. His career led him on a journey from South Carolina to Portland Oregon, to Virginia, and then he and his family settled down in Cartersville, Georgia for the last 45 years. He served his country as a part of the South Carolina National Guard. Along with his wife, he was the owner and operator of Wall to Wall Frames in Cartersville, Georgia.

Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother-in-law. He cherished the many friendships he made throughout his life. He loved his cat Kojak and Clemson football.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Heritage Baptist Church with the Reverend Michael Tutterow officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Private interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
