Adeleen "Toni" Duncan

Adeleen "Toni" Duncan, 74, of Cartersville passed away Sunday, October 07, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Toni was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 1, 1938 to the late William Lamprel Cole and the late Ethel Smith Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin H. Duncan, Jr.; and her sister, Abby Herbert. Toni was a member of Cassville Baptist Church and was employed as a paraprofessional by the Bartow County School System until her retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Sheryl Pealor of Cartersville and Pam and Mark Cornett of Adairsville; her sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Ramona Duncan of Cartersville, Stan and Susan Duncan of Calhoun, and Jeff and Kelly Duncan of Cartersville; her sisters, Esther Miller of Plymouth, Indiana, Doris Ross of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Beulah Hanson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her grandchildren , Christopher and Heather Pealor, Ashton Pealor, Tyler Duncan and Brittney Hill, Pagan Cornett and Daniel Kappel, Caleb Cornett, Seth Alexander and Kelsi Keever, Stanton and Hannah Duncan, Steven Duncan and Heather Worde, Stewart Duncan, Katie Morris, Anna Duncan and Jake Duncan; her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Ethan Pealor and Carson and Cole Duncan. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Teeke.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Cassville Baptist Church with the Reverend Mark Somers officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
