Alan Leslie Stockhausen, 74 of Cartersville, passed away on April 1, 2025 at his daughters home in the presence of his kids. He was born on October 8, 1950 in Hounslow, England. He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Walter Stockhausen and Edna Potterton Stockhausen; his biological father Arthur Marsden; and his son, Luke Stockhausen.
Alan was a kindhearted, empathetic, and caring man. He was a little saucy with his comments and dark sense of humor, but also quiet and a hard worker. In his younger years, he loved going to pubs and having a lager. He enjoyed waterskiing in his younger days and hanging out with his friends near the water. His love for being near a body of water stayed with him in his older years. His favorite food was Indian Curry and the spicier, the better. He enjoyed music, and one of his favorite bands was the Beatles. His family was very important to him, especially his kids.
Survivors include his children, Nigel Stockhausen and Claire Ball; son-in-law Jimmy Ball; his biological mother Doreen Chatterton; sisters Wendy Stockhausen, Annie Webb, and Rosemary Conolly; brother Goeff Chatterton (wife Carol); first wife and close friend Susan Kostyrka; second wife and close friend Sheila Radcliff; a very special niece, Charly; and a host of extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 4, 2025 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Keith Willard officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Mr. Alan Stockhausen.
